UConn Jazz Syllabi

The syllabi, course outlines, and class schedules linked below reflect my current teaching at the University of Connecticut, where I have served as Director of Jazz Studies since August 2000.

These materials are shared as living documents. They change over time in response to students, repertoire, institutional context, and ongoing reflection. They outline not only course requirements, but the values that guide the work: disciplined listening, historical awareness, technical clarity, and ethical engagement with music as a living practice.

Dates are included to indicate when materials were most recently in use.
